Riverside Service Club

The Riverside Service Club is open to all 5th graders interested in helping out the community. Members meet in the cafeteria Thursdays from 2:30- 3:30pm.

Service Club Goals:

To be a volunteer organization that participates with various service projects for the community.

Give members opportunities to help with school wide projects which include recycling, the PTA Winter Coat Drive, PTA Food Drive, Pet Supply Drive and assisting Riverside's Care Team.

Teach members about the importance of helping others, animals and taking care of the earth.

To provide a fun, safe atmosphere which teaches and facilitates communication and conflict resolution skills.

Previous Service Club Projects:

Collecting toiletries, decorating and assembling care bags for a local women's shelter.

Decorating pumpkins for a local nursing home.

Writing letters to the solders in Iraq.

Designing and decorating holiday placemats for a local nursing home.

Making dog treats for the Humane Society
